Purchasing
a tower site is a large and costly undertaking. Not only does
it require taking responsibility for the structure and grounds,
but usually the building and various types of equipment. Knowing
exactly what is available from electrical to water, condition
of buildings, fence, tower, transmission lines, appurtenances
and mounts are critical to understanding value.
Often
the drawings and details of the tower and building are no longer
available or not up to date. Often towers have been modified and
do not have current documentation on those changes. An accurate
inventory of loads is rarely available or even up to date. Having
exact information for the insurance company is also critical to
getting proper coverage.
