This
800 foot, 48 inch triangle face guyed tower located near Corpus
Christi, TX had outlived it's service life. Located near the
Gulf in a harsh environment the tower was deemed too badly
deteriorated to take down using normal methods. BTTi with
the assistance of crew members from Tower King 2 and Ultimate
Tower Services, and following the engineering plan produced
by Ernie Jones of Consolidated Engineering, dropped the tower
into an empty field without damaging the structure next to
it. |
